It’s summer! I love summer… for working parents summer is a balance of carefully planned camps, excursions, sitters and a dose of spontaneity.
Since all my kids are well beyond the nap era, we have implemented “quiet time”. I promise to play and swim and laugh at times, but I need time to work. So, you find something to do (that doesn’t involve running and/or sharp objects) and I will cram in as much work as possible. On this particular day during quiet time, Oliver sat near my desk in his “nest” and stared out the window. It reminded me that we all could use a dose of unscheduled time. I wonder what he was thinking.
